Support target and standard

Support target

• International meeting : meetings registered with domestic and foreign participants over 100 persons
• Domestic meeting : meetings registered with domestic and foreign participants over 300 persons

  Meeting: meetings including seminars, forums and exhibitions

  International meeting : meetings whose participants from over 3 countries, and more than 10 foreign participants (the standard of the Korea Tourist Service, Inc.)

Support standard within the budget

• Support standard within the budget
• Foreign participants : equivalent to 20,000 won per person
• For the exhibition, additional support for 10% of transportation cost for exhibited articles will be provided.

  Foreign participants : non-Koreans or Koreans residing outside of Korea

  Domesctic participants : Korean with exception of Jeju residents.

Criteria for the support of international meetings by the Jeju Convention Bureau

Basis for the support

• Article 7 of the Act regarding the Fostering of International Meeting Industry, Article 9 of the Enforcement Decree of the said act, and Article 2 of the Enforcement Regulation of the said act
• Article 3 and Article 4 of the Ordinance regarding the Fostering and Support of International Meeting Industry in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province

Support target

• Scientific societies, bodies, associations, agencies or corporations that intend to induce or open international meetings pursuant to the criteria of 「Article 2 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act regarding the Fostering of International Meeting Industry」 in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province

  《Scale of international meetings by Article 2 of the Enforcement Decree of the act》

  Meetings to be held by international organizations, or by agencies, corporations or bodies having joined international organizations

• To be participated by five countries or more
• Meeting participants over 300(foreigners over 100), and meetings that last for over 3 days

  Meetings to be held by agencies, corporations or bodies having not joined international organizations

• Foreigners over 150 persons among meeting participants, and meetings that last for over 2 days
• In case of international meetings whose inducement and opening is recognized to be necessary pursuant to Article 4, Clause 1 of the Ordinance regarding the Fostering and Support of International Meeting Industry in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province

  Preferential treatment of the meeting sector that is a strategic industry of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province

• Meetings whose support is recognized to be necessary in the aspect of fostering the meeting industry in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province as a project by the stipulation in Article 4 of the articles of association of the Jeju Convention Bureau Corporation

  Meeting: meetings of wide range including seminars, forums and exhibitions
